God the Father is at once the Almighty One and your personal Father. One minute God, the Creator of the entire universe. The Creator of all and everything that is seen on earth. Creator of all that is unseen in the Heavenly realm. The next minute He is your loving Father listening and answering all your ardent prayers. Justifying and sanctifying you through Jesus Christ His Son.
His happiness is affected by your obedience to His ways and His desires for you. When you please Him it makes Him glad and He smiles. He is saddened when you stray from His commands and laws. God the Father demands obedience. His heart is gladdened by your love, trust and faith in Jesus.
You cannot regard God the Father as a distant God not involved personally and intimately in your life. You can get the joy of Jesus, God the Son by pleasing the Heavenly Father. It’s both a simple and profound truth that God’s Word, the Holy Bible teaches quite plainly.
What makes God the Father happy? When you love Him with all your heart, soul and mind. Pleasing God the Father is part and parcel of this sincere and genuine love. God and His Holy Spirit will give you the guidance and strength to resist temptation. To walk a life of purity that is righteous in the eyes of God. A life that is pleasing to Him. This will bring a smile to your Heavenly Father’s face. He will indeed be pleased with you.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Matthew 6:15
