Faithful One.

Faithful, faithful to the end,
My true and precious friend.
You have been faithful, faithful,
So faithful to me.

And from the starry sky there shines on me,
An everlasting hope of liberty.
And when the day is done and when the race is run,
I will bow down before God’s only son.

And I will lift my hands in praise for all You’ve done,

And I will worship You my faithful one.

(Cliff Richard, 2002)

Introduction. Forgiveness. A loving gift from Almighty God. Forgiveness. Overcomes our sins. God grants to us the love and the grace. To forgive those who sin against us.

Scripture Reading: Who is a God like you,
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression.
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever,
but delight to show mercy.

You will again have compassion on us,
You will tread our sins underfoot,
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. (Micah 7:18–19, NIV)

Almighty God’s gift of love and mercy is liberating. Once you and I are forgiven. Our transgressions have been washed away. Our sins have been washed clean. By the sacred and pure blood of Christ Jesus. Jesus the beloved Son of our Heavenly Father. Spilt His blood on His wicked and soul-saving cross.

Scripture Readings: And, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. (Romans 6:18, ESV)

For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. (Romans 6:14, ESV)

We know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. (Romans 6:6, ESV)

This is the means by which our transgressions are washed clean. Christ Jesus sacrificed His life. So, we have eternal life through and with Jesus.

  • Before Christ — we were sinners. Lost and alone.
  • Before Christ — stumbling alone in the darkness of our sinful nature.
  • After Christ — washed clean in His blood.
  • After Christ — we are sanctified and justified before Almighty God.

We pray our prayer of complete and of honest confession. We speak to God our Father. We confess each transgression. Honestly to our God. Our confessor. Our Father in Heaven. Listens to our prayer in love and with His patience.

It is then and only then we are set free from all our sin. We are free to live our lives. Walking in the loving presence of Almighty God. Walking daily with the One who sent His beloved Son for us.

Before Christ liberated us from sin through His sacrificial death. We were as the circus elephant. Trained and tethered to a light rope and a weak stake.

We were trained and tethered to a life of temptation and sin. After Christ’s salvation. After Almighty God’s forgiveness. The rope of transgressions is removed. The stake of sin is left behind. We are no longer like the circus elephant. We believe in Jesus, the beloved Son of God Almighty. We have been set free from sin. We are liberated to live a life free from sin.

Forgiveness is an aspect of grace. Forgiveness is a gift given to us by a God who loves us so.

Scripture Reading: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23, ESV)

Going back to our poor, poor circus elephant. If only he knew. All he had to do. To gain his freedom. Was simply to walk away. It was just a matter of a simple tug on that light rope. It would break. Granting to him. His freedom. One simple tug! His liberty would be gained.

Jesus our Lord, our God. Jesus is our personal Savior. It is Jesus Christ who cuts our rope which ties us to our sin. Sin no longer the rope which controls. Unless we choose to allow it to. You and I are saints before Almighty God. Jesus Christ our Lord has cut the rope which ties us to sin. We are set free. We are liberated to live a life free from sin. To live a life loving God the Father and His Son, Jesus.

Saved through the pure and sweet blood of Christ Jesus. Washed clean by God’s gift of love and His grace. We are set free.

Scripture Reading: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV)

When Christ our Savior, our LORD was buried in His dark and empty cave. Our sins were buried in His cave also. Our transgressions separated as far from us as the east is from the west. We are set free.

Scripture Reading: … as far as the east is from the west,
so far does he remove our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103: 12, ESV)

Once liberated from sin. Through the blood of Christ our personal Lord, our Savior. We live free from the power of sin. We are set free.

Scripture Reading: For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7, ESV)

God’s Holy Word teaches us to give all we are to Him. Doing this passes the power of our life to our Heavenly Father. “We walk by faith, not by sight.” Doing this, sin no longer has hold no on us. We walk a life of liberty. Free from the tug of sin. We live a life of service to Almighty God.

At times living free from sin. Feels as if we are climbing Mount Everest in a snowstorm and all alone. God’s Holy Word tells us impossible it is for us to live without sin. God loves us so. Our Heavenly Father has given to us ways to reduce the impact of sin.

Firstly, we are to accept we are merely human. At times we stumble and fall way from Almighty God. When we do. We seek God’s forgiveness. Believing, always believing forgiveness is granted. Our sins are washed clean.

Next, we strengthen our mind, our heart and our soul against temptation. Through diligent Bible study. Reading the Holy Word of God daily. Applying God’s teachings, gives us the power needed to fight temptation. To live a life free from sin. We are set free.

Scripture Readings: And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:13, NIV)

So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36, ESV)

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1, ESV)

Free from sinful nature. Almighty God gives to us His grace. We are through Christ Jesus a new creature.

Scripture Reading: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV)

May the Almighty One be forever praised. AMEN! In Jesus Christ our personal Savior. You and I are. As a true and a dedicated Christian. Are a new creation. We left behind being a child of the Devil. We are now a beloved child of our Heavenly Father. We now are members of the divine family of Almighty God. A new creature in Jesus Christ. Liberated from sin. We are set free.
