The Prayer.

Let this be our prayer
When we lose our way.

Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
To a place where we’ll be safe.

(Carole Bayer Sager, David W. Foster, 1998)

Reflection. PRAYER a gift, a blessing from Almighty God. PRAYER a place of safety and a guide from God’s grace. PRAYER where Jesus leads our way Home to the Kingdom of God.

Scripture Readings: Keep me safe, my God, for in You I take refuge. (Psalm 16:1, NIV)

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to His Heavenly Kingdom. (2 Timothy 4:18, ESV)

The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. (Proverbs 18:10, ESV)

Where? Oh! Where do we run to? Oh! Who do we turn to? Who do we hide in? When faced with the evil attacks from the forces of darkness? Who do we seek for safety. When we are under attack, and we need to be rescued? The Lord most High “will bring me [us] safely to His Heavenly Kingdom.” It is God Almighty and Him alone who rescues us from the Devil and his forces of evil. God our Father and He alone rescues us. The Almighty One and He alone is great enough to save us. Yes! This is how very much our Heavenly Father loves you and me.

The Holy Name of Almighty God is strong enough to bring us into safety. The Holy Name of God Almighty is the One name we run to. In His Holy Name we are safe and protected — ALWAYS. God’s Holy Name is our refuge. In His Holy Name we are safe and free from harm.

The Bible is filled with verses that offer comfort and reassurance in times of uncertainty and danger. As the world continues to face challenges. It is important to find solace in God’s promises of protection and safety.

Scripture Readings: Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:11, ESV)

This verse reminds us that when we abide in the presence of God, we find safety and protection. It invites us to find our refuge in Him and to trust in His sovereignty. (Christian SAVVY Blog)

The Lord will keep you from all harm — He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121:7–8, ESV)

God is our ever-vigilant Guardian, who watches over every aspect of our lives. He promises to protect us from harm and to be with us in every step we take, both today and for all eternity. (Christian SAVVY Blog)

These Bible texts and so many others give to us Almighty God’s protection. Reading these Bible verses, we are assured again and again of God’s promises. Almighty God is “with us in every step we take, both today and for all eternity.” We are so very loved by our Heavenly Father. We are so blessed by Almighty God.

We feel God the Father nearby as we journey through this world. Reading the Holy Word of God. Reading about God’s unceasing love for us. Reading how He is with us all the way. Assures us we are never alone. God tells us He never leaves to battle on alone.

We feel God so close by. God is so close. We can reach up and touch His glorious face. Oh! Yes! We reach up to Heaven. We reach up. When a little sad. We reach up! When a little heart broken. We reach up to Heaven. When are hearts are filled with God’s blessings. We reach up to Heaven. God reaches down from Heaven. Almighty God reaches down from Heaven with His love.

Scripture Readings: He reached down from Heaven and rescued me; He drew me out of deep waters. (Psalms 18:16–19, ESV)

Until the Lord looks down and sees from Heaven. (Lamentations 3:50, ESV)

We are so very fortunate. You and I are so blessed. We are so loved. We have a God who reaches down from Heaven and rescues us when we are in trouble. Our Heavenly Father draws us out of the deep waters of despair. Our Savior reaches down from Heaven. Jesus rescues us from the darkness of our sin. Our Lord God “looks down and sees from Heaven” and loves us still. No matter how many times we hurt Him.

We have a God “who watches over every aspect of our lives.” We can turn to Almighty God in prayer. For any problem and at any time. We can take comfort in the fact. Jesus our Savior understands. He truly understands. As Jesus walked this sad and lonely world. Jesus suffered as we suffer. Our Lord went hungry. As at times we hunger. Jesus was a nomad by choice and by mission. Jesus our Lord had no permanent home to lay His weary head. We should and do not complain if our residence is humble. No matter our situation. Jesus our Companion truly understands.

Certainly! In the book of Hebrews, it’s beautifully expressed that Jesus understands every weakness of ours because He was tempted in every way that we are, yet He did not sin. When we’re in need, we can boldly approach the throne of our merciful God, where we’ll find undeserved grace and help1. Another comforting passage is from Romans 8:27–29, which reminds us that God already knows our deepest thoughts and works for the good of those who love Him. (Bing, 05/07/2024)

The Gospels reassure us no matter what is going on in our lives. Jesus our Rescuer has suffered as we are. Jesus our loving Companion truly understands. Reading of Jesus’ life and His ministry we see His sadness, we see His weakness. We also read of His joy, and His times of companionship with the ones He loves and cherishes. We witness the precious time Jesus spends with His Father in prayer. Jesus teaches His disciples and us how to pray. The Lord’s Prayer He passes down to us. The Lord’s Prayer — Jesus showing to you and to me. God is our Father in Heaven.
