Almighty God is our Light and Wisdom
Almighty God and His love resonate deeply in our hearts.
Reflection. In the Holy and loving presence of Almighty God. We are filled with joy and God’s blessings forever more.
Scripture Readings: Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalms 16:11, KJV)
And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. (Exodus 33:14, KJV)
To be able to enter the Holy presence of the Almighty One. Almighty God has given us a key. The amazing and free gift — PRAYER. The glorious blessing from God Almighty — PRAYER is our ticket. Our deepest yearning each day is to walk in the Holy presence of the Father God. PRAYER is the entrance we use at any time. PRAYERS we usher to Heavenly Father at any place and in any circumstance. Our Almighty God is in all places. Our Heavenly Father is present at all times for all His people. We may not be able to understand how this happens. We are forever thankful that it does.
Scripture Readings: “Then he (Moses) said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.” (Exodus 33:15–16, NIV).
At the moment of our salvation. The very moment we accepted our Lord Jesus. As our personal Lord, Savior and God. You and I were separated from the rest of humanity. Yes, we still live on this precious little blue planet. We still suffer the same troubles and trials as others. You and I share the same happiness as our fellow citizens.
We are now living in the glorious Kingdom of God. We live daily in complete obedience to the Holy Law of God. You and I are now surrounded by the deep and personal love of our Heavenly Father. We feel in the deepest recesses of our souls. The peace of Almighty God. God’s peace replaces all concerns, sadness and heartache.
We believe deep in our hearts. Nothing can separate us from Almighty God and His unceasing love. We are loved by a God. Whose love for us is eternal and unconditional. God is love. God’s love and His presence are with us everywhere we go. God’s love and His presence give us the courage needed to carry on. God’s love and His presence are with us — ALWAYS. The peace needed to rest at the close of our day is given through PRAYER. God’s love and His presence are all we need. Our hearts and our souls are satisfied.
Our yearning to be with Almighty God is constant. As we grow in our life with our Heavenly Father. As our spiritual life grows day by day. So does our hunger and our longing for our Father God intensify. This longing is only satisfied by consistent and persistent prayers to our Father God. This hunger to know of and about God is only satisfied. Through diligent Bible study. It is so very true. The more we know of Almighty God. The more we yearn to learn of our Almighty God.
Scripture Readings: Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17, NIV)
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2, ESV)
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. (Romans 12:12, ESV)
As our prayer life grows. We are quietly amazed at how consistent it becomes. We find ourselves whispering little prayers throughout our day. Just little prayers of gratitude for our many, many blessings. Other little prayers for loved ones and friends in need of God’s love and healing. Little prayers are spoken often keeping us connected to Almighty God.
Then there are the times we fall upon our knees before the Heavenly throne of Almighty God. We bow our heads and plead for forgiveness. For the times we have once more hurt Him. We believe. Oh! How we believe. It does not matter how many times we stumble and fall. If our repentance is sincere. When our confession is genuine. Almighty God will always forgive our sins and cleanse all unrighteousness. Through the saving grace of Jesus. We once more abide in the righteous presence of our Heavenly Father.
Our most wondrous time with our Heavenly Father. Is the time we spend thanking Him for our family and loved ones. Our family is the greatest blessing Almighty God has given to us. Looking back on the loving and happy times we have spent with our loved ones. Brings us such joy. In each one, we feel the love of God also. Birthday parties shared. Christmas carols sang together. Vacations at our places that are both familiar and new. All these memories.
Our family is indeed the most wonderful gift from Almighty God. Our family and our closest friends are blessings from the Almighty One. Each day we fall on our knees in a prayer of thanksgiving. A prayer of humble gratitude for the love we share.
Scripture Readings: Children are a heritage from the Lord. (Psalm 127:3, ESV)
Husbands love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. (Ephesians 5:25, ESV)
Conclusion. With sincere thanksgiving. We fall on our knees in prayer. Each day we abide with God our Father. Every day we walk in the presence of Almighty God.
Today’s hymn is again so special. Nathan Pacheco’s version of “Be Thou My Vision.” Resonates deeply within our hearts. Speaks to our hearts of the love of our Father God.
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of My Heart.
According to mythology, when St. Patrick was a missionary in Ireland in the 5th century, King Logaire of Tara decreed that no one was allowed to light any fires until a pagan festival was begun by the lighting of a fire on Slane Hill. In a move of defiance against this pagan ritual, St. Patrick did light a fire, and, rather than execute him, the king was so impressed by his devotion that he let Patrick continue his missionary work. Three centuries later, a monk named Dallan Forgaill wrote the Irish poem, “Rop tú mo Baile” (“Be Thou my Vision), to remember and honor the faith of St. Patrick. Forgaill was martyred by pirates, but his poetry lived on as a part of the Irish monastic tradition for centuries until, in the early 20th century, Mary Elizabeth Byrne translated the poem into English, and in 1912, Eleanor Hull versified the text into what is now a well-loved hymn and prayer that at every moment of our lives, God would be our vision above all else.
