Reflection. Prayer. True, honest and sincere prayer. Prayer is a privilege and a gift from Almighty God. Prayer is not a duty done to please Him.

Scripture Readings: Prayer is a gift from God’s hand and He’s given us the privilege of prayer because He loves us and wants our fellowship. Jesus said, “The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him” (John 4:23). What a profound truth — to know that Almighty God desires our fellowship! (Billy Graham Evangelistic Ministries)

And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:15, English Standard Version)

Almighty God is a God of love. God is love. God created mankind to love Him with all our hearts. God made you and I to be loved completely by Him. Almighty God loves each of His children with such divine and intimate compassion. Almighty God yearns to have a deep and personal fellowship with each of His beloved children. Such a profound love God has for us. He desires us to love Him also. Prayer is our entrance into God’s loving presence.

Scripture Reading: Our Lord Jesus said, “The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” (John 4:23, New International Version)

Prayer — kneeling before the Heavenly throne. Bowing our heads in quiet supplication before the Almighty One. Prayer is a gift from the loving hand of our Heavenly Father. Prayer should never be taken for granted. The power behind a sincere prayer. Can and does perform miracles.

Our beloved Lord Jesus in His prayer taught us. To focus all our prayers on the Father, God. Through faith in Jesus, we are adopted into the divine family of God. Through the saving grace of Jesus, we share a filial relationship with God. As saved, we are adopted and beloved children of our Heavenly Father. As children we obey, honor God and thank Him for all our blessings. Prayer is the gift we use to show our thanks and love to Almighty God.

At the beginning of God’s brand-new day. The first words on our lips. Is a silent and sincere prayer of thanksgiving. A prayer to Almighty God for His protection throughout our night. We remember the Bible verses memorised speaking of His protection and His shield. We recall the many verses, promising we are never alone. Our prayer includes our gratitude for our family and our home. No matter how far away our family may be.

No matter how humble our home may be. We are forever thankful. We picture Jesus and His nomadic lifestyle. Jesus had no permanent home. Jesus and His disciples relied on others for their everyday needs. Our morning prayer includes much thanksgiving for His never-ending love. Every moment and in every way God our Father pours His love into our hearts and souls. Our morning prayer is our way of saying, “Thank you.”

By starting our brand-new day with a prayer. We are placing Almighty God exactly where He belongs. At the central place of our day. Our Heavenly Father is the reason for our life. Almighty God gave us life. Almighty God gave us this amazing day. Our little prayer. At the beginning of our day. Is our way of showing our Father. That we love Him. With all our hearts. We love Him.

Scripture Reading: Through prayer, we have access to deep encounters with the heart and mind of our heavenly Father. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” God longs for us to call toHim as our source of life, wisdom, guidance, and truth.

Prayer is a blessed gift from Almighty God. It is our connection to the One who hears and answers all our prayers.

Our prayer time with Almighty God is filled with our love for Him. Prayers should never be a never-ending list of our needs. Prayers should be filled with our praise. To the One who blesses us with this wondrous gift. Prayers should be songs of worship. For the love He has poured into our hearts and souls. Our prayers must be songs of praise for the Holy Name of Almighty God. Prayers are a vital and loving connection to the One who created us. Our lifeline to the One who loves us and made us to love Him. The more we pray. The more love we give to God. The more love we give away. The more love we receive.

Conclusion. Prayer is a gift of peace and comfort.

When our hearts are worn down with the cares of life. Prayer is the avenue to peace and comfort. As we settle down in our quiet place. As we take with us the Holy Word of God. We rely on God the Holy Spirit, to show us the verses we need. Our favorite verse,

Scripture Reading: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27, King James Version)

Whilst we are asking for peace from Almighty God. Believing all our prayers are indeed heard and answered. Jesus’ peace saturates our whole being. Jesus’ peace fills our hearts and souls. Once more a prayer of thanksgiving is ushered to Heaven. A prayer of gratitude. For the peace of Jesus.

“The Prayer” is beautifully sung. Expresses our need to pray to Almighty God.

“More than 2,000 years ago, God sent Jesus Christ, our Savior. In celebration of the Christmas season, Nathan and I recorded ‘The Prayer,’” (David Archuleta)

The Prayer” is a beautiful song performed by David Archuleta and Nathan Pacheco. The video duet was part of the “12 Days of Social” campaign, which promoted The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ “A Savior is Born” Christmas initiative1. The song’s lyrics express hope, faith, and a desire for peace and love in the world. (Bing, 26/07/2024)
